Hobbling in Den Haag

I tried to rhyme... The Hague in Dutch sounds a bit like "den hog" when super special pro Dutch speakers like me try to say it. I'm currently in a cafe and I get the idea that I have overstayed my welcome. Oooookay not just a feeling- she just told me she's closing.

So to explain the 'hobbling' bit... I can't really that well actually. I did something that has left me with a limp that must look extremely put on ... I'm getting plenty of unsubtle stares. Guess ill have to hop on that Danish state health care when I get home :/

The Hague is gorgeous even in very grey weather. It's simply a homogenizing nation.... Perhaps because there's soooo much packed in to every inch - so many window detailings that range from classy to bizarre, random inlaid lions on the sides of buildings, channels wherever possible and way more boats and bikes per capita than I would have thought helpful. I'd love to see the west of the country. I don't know how visually different it is but being away from the coast and the historic region of holland.... So far I've been struck by the marked architectural diversity of the places I've seen in the Netherlands.....
